Utah Allen show some fight with win over Hawks to finish Jazz summer league

Georges Niang and Tony Bradley continued their stellar Summer League play, leading the Jazz to a 90-85 victory over the New York Knicks Sunday night.

Mitchell Robinson #26 of the New York Knicks dunks the ball against the Utah Jazz during the 2018 Las Vegas Summer League on July 8, 2018 at the Cox Pavilion in Las Vegas, Nevada.

NY was led by its last two lottery picks-Kevin Knox (this year's No. 9 overall pick) scored a team-high 19 points on 5-for-15 shooting, while Frank Ntilikina (last year's No. 8 overall pick) finished with 17 points and six assists in the loss.

During the fourth quarter of the game between the Portland Trail Blazers and Utah Jazz, Baldwin and Allen got tangled up near the baseline.

The Knicks haven't made the playoffs since the 2012-13 campaign, and it is unrealistic to expect that to change this upcoming season given Porzingis' injury status, even if they are playing in an Eastern Conference no longer featuring LeBron James. "(It's) nothing more than a play in a very competitive and physical game", Allen said.

Sure, that may be a slight exaggeration, but any time Grayson Allen goes full Grayson Allen it's going to turn heads.

The New York Knicks aren't expected to make a great deal of noise during the 2018-19 National Basketball Association season.

NY made a triumphant Las Vegas Summer League debut with a 91-89 victory over the Atlanta Hawks on Saturday, July 7.
