Tuesday at J.A. Carr Park in the 500 block of Simmons Drive. The officer was shot after arriving at J.A. Carr Park. The officer and the suspect were transported to the hospital. The first and only other time a Euless officer died in the line of duty was when Officer Michael Williamson was hit by a drunk driver in 1982, according to the city's website.
