Stranger Things season 2 set to hit Netflix on Halloween

Something's strange in the neighborhood

The trailer, which premiered during a commercial break just after halftime, begins innocently enough with footage from an old ad for Eggo waffles, a favorite of our beloved Eleven.

Get ready for brand new creepy moments in "Stranger Things 2", arriving on Netflix this Halloween.

Stranger Things 2 is coming. Unless you're a fan of the Patriots or Falcons, the only reasons you're watching the Super Bowl tomorrow night are the advertisements, the tradition, and the sure-to-be-dope Lady Gaga halftime show.

The Netflix original series takes inspiration from the classic eighties film Ghostbusters for the highly-anticipated second season. We know because Netflix teased Stranger Things 2 with an ad shown during Super Bowl LI. However, a table read photo for Season 2, released on the "Stranger Things" Twitter account in November, revealed that we haven't seen the last of Millie Bobby Brown and her nosebleeds yet!

If the trend is correct, "Stranger Things" Season 2 will be aired this summer. Not only they confirmed that Season 2 is going to happen, they've also released the title of its episodes.

Back in July past year, Netflix debuted yet another groundbreaking web series in the form of "Stranger Things", the sci-fi, '80s-inspired series starring Winona Ryder and Millie Bobby Brown.

There's not much to glean from these few seconds, but we see that the government is still involved in trifling with things best left alone.

The trailer, available to view here, has the synopsis "A year after Will's return, everything seems back to normal... but a darkness lurks just beneath the surface, threatening all of Hawkins".
