England have effectively admitted that they picked the wrong team for the second Test against West Indies by recalling Toby Roland-Jones for the series decider at Lord's, starting today.

England's reply got off to the worst start possible when Mark Stoneman departed with just one run on the board, clipping Roach to wicket-keeper Dowrich.

England will start a Test match on a Saturday next summer for the first time in 63 years.

"It's obviously very hard to leave somebody like Chris out, he's been a consistent performer in Test cricket for England in recent times".

Tom Westley then saw his prospects of an Ashes tour place fade whem he was plumb lbw to Holder for eight - his fifth successive single-figure score in Test cricket.

"Few would have predicted, after Edgbaston, that the Wisden Trophy would still be for the taking and it is testament to the resolve and grit of the West Indies that we now have a thrilling match in prospect".

Tom Westley was trapped leg before by Holder for just eight, before Joe Root, the England captain, fell to only his second ball, having scored one, as he was caught by Powell off Holder.

Malan, on his Middlesex home ground, survived the hat-trick.

India is likely to begin 2018 in South Africa and is slotted to play four Tests and limited overs series.

After that, they will take on India in a full series, which will comprise of three Twenty20 Internationals, three ODIs and five Tests over the span of two months.

Brian Lara revealed this week that Sachin Tendulkar had sent him a text message saying the West Indies' victory over England in the second Test at Headingley was "a success the entire world needed".

A long-feared stress fracture sidelined him for most of 2006 but come the end of 2007, with the 2005 attack all sidelined, Anderson was the leader of England's bowling unit. On a slowish surface, Anderson and Stuart Broad regularly beat the outside edge, a trail of patience that Kyle Hope was ultimately unequipped for as he also tickled behind attempting to leave after the resumpton.

England go into the final match against Jason Holder's side, trying to make amends for a surprise five wicket defeat last week.

Shai Hope had made 28 of his 29 runs in boundaries when Roland-Jones cut one away from the right-hander and a relieved Cook clung on to a gentle slip catch.

Cook held on to a sharp low chance at slip from the accurate Toby Roland-Jones to dismiss Hope, before Stokes took centre stage with a first five-wicket haul at Lord's, leaving Anderson still needing one more for the milestone.
