In it, Square Enix says that it wishes it could share more information regarding the game, but it's taking a "new approach this time". The person appeared to be working on documents related to a game called "Shadow of the Tomb Raider".
However, we may have to wait sometime before the game even gets officially unveiled, as the company is waiting for a "major event in 2018" to do so. Combine that with the 11 million made by its predecessor and it's clear why Square-Enix would want to continue developing new games in the series. In a world where game reveals very often happen full years before the release of a game, this can put anybody on the edge of their seat. If you take the first letter from each sentence, they spell out the word "Shadow".
Again, the message itself seems rather ordinary if only a bit cryptic in leaving out when or what this "major event in 2018" will be. Square Enix refused to confirm the game's existence back then, but are finally ready to start talking.
No release date has been announced for the upcoming Tomb Raider game, but you can catch the movie in theaters March 16, 2018. While the name wasn't confirmed, we do know we'll be continuing Lara Croft's adventure very soon.
