Tiger Woods returning to Riviera Country Club
Woods, the greatest player of his generation and arguably of all time, made his PGA Tour debut at Riviera at the age of 16. Woods' announcement puts him in the field for the February event - formerly known as the Northern Trust Open - which will be held at The Riviera Country Club and is now hosted by Woods' foundation.

The International Bobsleigh and Skeleton Federation (IBSF) had come under pressure to move the event from the 2014 Winter Olympics host city after last week's damning report by Canadian law professor Richard McLaren which implicated more than 1,000 Russian athletes in at least 30 sports in a state-sponsored doping program.
