Could this mean the Avengers in all their glory could in fact be in the new Spider-Man game?
Sony held its E3 2018 presentation last night and showed off a whole mess of trailers. Which, to be fair, looks impressive as hell.
Continuing through the trailer we pick up a ally and infiltrate a building rescuing a prisoner from torture, eventually we end up fighting the ally and throughout that fight we get an incredible display of combat and scenery. Whoever they are, they've clearly got access to money and technology which narrows it down to several classic Spider-Man villains, some of which have already been subtly revealed in early trailers.
Developed by Sony Interactive Entertainment, Marvel and Insomniac Games for PlayStation 4, Spider-Man is a PS4 exclusive that fans have been awaiting for a long time.
This is one of Sony's biggest PlayStation 4 games for the rest of the year. And there's also a tantalizing cliffhanger that will surely make a few people eager to try out the game for themselves.
An experienced Spider-Man with several years of crime fighting under his belt, Peter Parker has sheer mastery of his powerful spider-sense, dynamic skills, acrobatic abilities and new suit. Spider-Man also has a healthy arsenal of gadgets (once again, much like Arkham), including web mines and web bombs that explode on impact.
Marvel's NY is Your Playground The Big Apple comes to life as Insomniac's most expansive and interactive world yet. Along the way, Spider-Man will have to confront at least five of his greatest foes.
Our team is thrilled to finally show you more of what you'll be up against in Marvel's Spider-Man. It's available to pre-order right here.
