After months of speculation, the band confirmed this afternoon on Twitter that they will embark on a United Kingdom tour next year, with a date at the home of the Black Cats on June 6, the first gig at the stadium in three years.

The group, formed in 1994 and one of the most successful acts of that decade, have not performed together since the London Olympics closing ceremony in 2012, and they last toured together 10 years ago. The girl group are set to tour stadiums around the United Kingdom next summer - but as a four piece. The group announced plans for their latest reunion back in February, saying: "The time now feels right to explore some incredible new opportunities together".

Mel C added: 'We can't be falling out now if we're going on tour!'

While the "Viva Forever" singer is confident the tour will be well-received, she admitted some of her bandmates were more cautious.

With no planned pre-sales, tickets will go on sale this Saturday.

The tour, featuring special guest Jess Glynne, will begin June 1, 2019 in Manchester at the Etihad Stadium and will run through Coventry, Sunderland, Edinburgh, and Bristol before capping off the tour at Wembley Stadium in London.

Speaking on UK TV show "Loose Women", she said: "It's just the four of us, but she might join us at some point". "It'd be a shame if she didn't".

Victoria soon posted about the tour this afternoon where she shared an image of the remaining four Spice Girls and wished them good luck. I'm hoping it's going to change but it's us four'.
