Ranveer Singh, who returned from his honeymoon in Sri Lanka on Sunday, set off immediately to check the response to his film, Simmba. And on the other hand, Akshay Kumar made a surprising appearance where he played Maharahtra ATS (Anti Terrorism Squad) chief Veer Suryawanshi which also made an announcement of collaboration between Akshay Kumar and Rohit Shetty.
Ranveer's Simmba has also broken the record of the first-week collection of Aamir Khan's Thugs of Hindostan and Salmaan Khan's Race 3, which earned over Rs 137 crore and Rs 144.51 crore in their first week, respectively.
The film that co-stars Sara Ali Khan alongside Singh has brought in equally massive numbers overseas.
True to his style, Ranveer looked super excited as usual as he arrived like a king and waved to his fans from the sunroof of his vehicle. Simmba actor Sonu Sood also attended the success bash of the film with wife Sonali. The film is inching towards the 200 crore club. Directed by Rohit Shetty, the film has been received extremely well at the box-office.
