The wife of wounded GOP congressman Steve Scalise says she is thankful for all the prayers and warm wishes her family has received since her husband was shot at a baseball practice. Democrats sent the trophy they earned to Scalise's office after the game.
Scalise is still in critical condition but is doing better, according to a statement from MedStar Washington Hospital Center where the congressman is now confined.
"It's going to show our country's side of resilience", said Oscar Santillana, who's also going to the game.
The person did not disclose the names, but said those listed had been briefed.
Historically the game brings an intense political rivalry onto the baseball field and this year will be no different. Scalise will undergo more operations.

Scalise, the No. 3 House Republican, arrived at the hospital via helicopter in shock, with intense internal bleeding, Sava said.
Players on both sides - which includes Rep. Cedric Richmond (D-La.) - will wear LSU caps in honor of Scalise, a noted Tiger fan.

GOP members were in the middle of an early-morning practice Wednesday when a gunman - suspected to be the now-deceased 66-year-old James Hodgkinson - opened fire on the people on the field, injuring Scalise, two U.S. Capitol Police agents, a current GOP staffer and a former GOP staffer.
At a press conference, President Trump says that wounded Scalise's condition is more hard than people first realized.
