Luke Shaw was forced off the pitch after just 50 minutes tonight after sustaining a head injury.

Luke Shaw suffered a concussion in England's friendly with Spain and will return to Manchester United on Monday, the Football Association have announced.

Shaw's head bounced off the ground after his clash against Spain's Dani Carvajal and he had to be stretchered out in an oxygen mask after the horrific injury.

Manchester United fullback Luke Shaw should be exclusively focused on football and not on signing a new contract, according to former Liverpool star Stan Collymoore.

Shaw also added to the positive news when he tweeted: "Thank you for all the love and support I am doing fine and am in the best hands".

"I'm a fighter, I'll be back soon", he wrote on social networks after the game in an attempt to reassure fans.

It is claimed Shaw insisted there were no hard feelings between the pair after the collision.

The left-back has started the season well, earning praise from boss Jose Mourinho for a number of impressive displays.

Manchester United have scored six goals this season.

He started in a similar vein for England last night, playing a sumptuous first-half ball behind the Spain defence, which Marcus Rashford finished to give the hosts the lead.

United will assess the player ahead of the weekend, but again may not take any risks if he is not 100 percent.
