Scarlett Johansson is back at full throttle in Black Widow's new teaser

Kevin Feige and Scarlett Johansson speak about'Black Widow at the Marvel Studios panel during San Diego Comic Con 2019

The two-minute clip has the feel of a James Bond/Killing Eve hybrid, interspersing a fair bit of fast-paced action with a very Villanelle-style sequence in which Black Widow faces off against her sister, Yelena (Florence Pugh).

The trailer begins with intense music and we see Scarlett Johansson in her Black Widow avatar.

Natasha Romanoff, aka Black Widow, might have sacrificed herself to get the Soul Stone in Endgame, but that isn't stopping Marvel and Disney from telling her backstory. It's one big happy Soviet family reunion.

Rachel Weisz portrays Melina, a veteran spy who has been trained in the Red Room and is involved in a scientific experiment. "But nothing lasts forever", she says before the teaser proceeds to showing her going on the run and reaching a foreign location, possibly Russian Federation. She tells that she wants to forget her past and move on but ends up in Budapest (a location that Clint Barton (Hawkeye) referenced multiple times in various Avengers movies). That's right, the first Black Widow trailer is here!

The character first appeared in 2010's Iron Man 2, and has since then been a significant figure in the Marvel cinematic universe.

We get a brief glimpse of part of the training facility, as more than a dozen gun-wielding women in Black Widow style outfits practice carefully choreographed and deadly-looking moves. We know that Black Widow will be confronting her past in this movie, which means reuniting with Yelena Belova (another Black Widow) and Red Guardian. All the "Black Widows" were sterilized, so Natasha is unable to bear children. And as much as some fans would want that, sometimes it's good to quit while you're ahead. However, fans can't say the same about the MCU version of Taskmaster, who now looks like some generic villain when compared to his bombastic looks in the comic books.

Black Window, the twenty-fourth MCU film, is due out in May of 2020.
