Sandra Oh and Andy Samberg to co-host 2019 Golden Globes

Sandra Oh and Andy Samberg have just been named the hosts of the 2019 Golden Globes!

The 76th Golden Globes are set to air live from the Beverly Hilton Hotel on January 6.

"Sandra and Andy are the flawless choices to host this world-class event", said Paul Telegdy and George Cheeks, Co-Chairmen, NBC Entertainment in a joint statement. "It's sure to be another unforgettable fun-filled night".

We are pleased to confirm that Andy Samberg and Sandra Oh will be co-hosting this year's 76th #GoldenGlobes!

The Golden Globes Awards honor the best of both worlds every year, with statuettes handed out to the cream of the crop in television and film. Samberg, meanwhile, is a two-time Golden Globe victor for his work on Brooklyn Nine-Nine, taking home statuettes in both the acting and producing categories.

He was the 2015 Emmy Awards host, while Oh is a newcomer to handling emcee duties for a major ceremony.

The last time the HFPA introduced a new award was in 2006, when it expanded its crop of competitive categories to include nomination slots for best animated feature.

The "Killing Eve" star and "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" comedian stole the show earlier this year while presenting an award at the Emmys together, leaving fans wanting more.

The show will air live on NBC at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT.

Oh is best known for her former role in the long-running television hospital drama Grey's Anatomy, and is now starring in BBC America's acclaimed murder-mystery Killing Eve.

For his work on "SNL", Samberg earned an Emmy Award and six additional nominations.
