The timing is particular bad for Manchester United with his fellow midfielders Paul Pogba and Michael Carrick also now unavailable.

Belgium coach Roberto Martinez has declared Romelu Lukaku "100 percent fit" to face Cyprus in their final World Cup qualifier on Tuesday.

Each and every Monday during the season, Manchester United star Juan Mata pens a personal blog.

The Manchester United striker has been on fire this season, with seven league goals in as many games.

"I have not had any communication with Jose Mourinho on the subject of Marouane", The Mirror quotes Martinez as saying.

However, there was better news for United regarding the fitness of Lukaku as Martinez also confirmed that the striker is considered fit and available for selection.

"It was a very unfortunate injury for Marouane Fellaini", he said.

That is set to rule him out of games against Liverpool (on Saturday), Benfica (Oct 19), Huddersfield (Oct 21) and Swansea (Oct 25).

Belgium announced shortly after seeing Fellaini laid low that he was facing "a couple of weeks" out, with his setback coming at a bad time for United.

As reported by the Daily Mail, Mourinho is concerned that Lukaku could further aggravate the injury ahead of United's crucial Premier League match against Liverpool, a game which he will be desperate to have the former Everton man fully fit for.

There is an uncertainity surrounding Michael Carrick too which means the club will be with only Ander Hererra and Nemanja Matic in midfield.

"I don't think the state of the pitch played any part and it was just a collision between two strong players who wanted to win the ball".

No wonder Manchester United fans rate Marouane Fellaini so highly!

"Paul is very important for Manchester United but we also have great players to play instead of him".
