ADULT SWIM

Rick and Morty Season 4 will premiere new episodes in November of this year.

For horror fans, the show has been a constant source of winks and nods, with homages to A Nightmare on Elm Street, The Purge, the works of David Cronenberg, and much, much more. It's coming back in November.

Adult Swim's wildly popular animated comedy series Rick and Morty is finally returning. So a two-year-long hiatus is pretty typical for the series. As Harmon explained to GQ in shortly following the renewal, uncertainty about Rick and Morty's future was always a major factor in the delay between seasons, and the security offered by the massive deal means that the pair won't be constantly weighing other opportunities.

Created and executive produced by Dan Harmon (Community) and Justin Roiland (Adventure Time), the half-hour animated series follows a sociopathic genius scientist who drags his inherently timid grandson on insanely unsafe adventures across the universe. "You should just come in the writer's room for a couple of days, hang out, come up with a character you can do". We have 70, he can have one.

Rick and Morty follows a sociopathic genius scientist who drags his inherently timid grandson on insanely unsafe adventures across the universe. "You're a good actor man". Game of Thrones needed less than two years to get its final season to air, and that felt like an eternity.

While I'm appropriately psyched for new episodes, the more diehard members of the fan base are beyond over the moon. As of this writing, we don't have a specific premiere date, but we do know it'll land sometime in November.
