Resident Evil 2’s Demo Can Only Be Played For 30 Minutes
Jan 09 2019
The demo of Resident Evil 2's remake will put the squeeze on players beyond the usual "trapped in a building full of zombies and wall-smashing monsters" tension. And you'll only have 30 minutes to play it. The important thing is that you'll only have a half hour to do it all before you're locked out - that's why they call it the "1-Shot Demo".
You'll be able to download the demo via Steam on January 11, but it'll be pulled from digital shelves on January 31 - shortly after the game's proper release on January 25.
BUT, you only have 30 minutes. The demo is one-and-done, but the trailer can be viewed as many times as you like.
"Aptly named the "1-Shot Demo" players must take on the challenge of surviving the horrors of Raccoon City in just 30 minutes". The Resident Evil 2demo is set in the iconic Raccoon City Police Station and has players in the role of one of the series' protagonist, Leon S. Kennedy. If you beat the mission in under 30 minutes, you'll be able to go back and use up your time. The station is filled to the brim with zombies to survive and puzzles to solve. Just pull up your platform's digital storefront, search for Resident Evil 2, and you should find it. Capcom hasn't revealed how much storage space you'll need for the download; the full game's approximate size is listed as 21.07GB on the Microsoft Store, so it shouldn't be any bigger than that. Like all demos, this playable period prior to launch will be available for a very limited amount of time. The demo, which will be made available on January 11 for PS4, Xbox One and PC, comes with a caveat, however.
