Gravitational waves will unlock these 'revolutionary' secrets of the universe

When objects accelerate, they send  ripples  along the curved  space-time  fabric at the speed of light - the  more  massive the object, the larger the  wave  and the easier it would be for scientists to detect. Einstein's  theory predicted that the warping of space-time would create  gravitational waves  that would pulse through the universe. All that from  ripples  in  spacetime  that passed through our entire planet in less than a second and nudged the LIGO detectors (4 km apart already) ...

MWC 2016: Huawei tablet rivals Microsoft Surface

Here are our first impressions . Huawei also says the screen has 85% NTSC colour gamut coverage, and if this turns out to be true it will be better than both the Surface Pro 4 and iPad Pro, neither of which are slouches in this area. It offers a 2160 x 1400 resolution for a pixel density of 215ppi and brightness tops out at 400nits. The PC business is back on track, thanks to the latest thin and powerful devices such as the Microsoft Surface Pro 4, the Lenovo Yoga 900S or the Samsung Galaxy ...

Gravitational waves discovered 100 yrs after Einstein predicted

After detecting the gravitational wave signal, the scientists said that they have converted the same into audio waves and were able to listen to the sounds of two black holes merging. About a billion dollars of instruments were used in the research to discover the gravitational waves . The Large Interferometer Gravitational Wave Observatory (LIGO) measured distortion in laser light beams to detect the elusive waves .

Coffee May Help Reverse Liver Damage From Alcohol

Oliver Kennedy. However, one study found a stronger link between coffee consumption and reduced cirrhosis risk with filtered coffee rather than the boiled variety. In comparison to those who consumed no coffee, it is estimated that one cup per day could be linked to a 22 percent lower risk. A United Kingdom university has analysed previously published studies into coffee consumption and how it impacts liver disease.
