Hurricane Florence , a Category 4 storm with 140 miles per hour winds, is expected to make landfall somewhere between North Carolina, South Carolina, and the Mid-Atlantic states on Thursday evening or Friday morning, according to the National Hurricane Center ( NHC ).
Hurricane Florence is blowing sustained winds of up to 130 miles per hour as it barrels toward the US East Coast as a Category 4 storm . "Damaging hurricane-force winds are likely along portions of the coasts of SC and North Carolina, and a Hurricane Watch will likely be issued by Tuesday morning".
A Flood Watch continues for McKean and Potter counties in northern PA from 8pm Saturday evening through Monday evening. Florence is forecast to take a westerly path through the weekend and into early next week as it strengthens. But Florence's path is expected to generate potentially risky surf swells and rip current conditions that will begin to affect Bermuda by Friday .
