The Gang Rape and Murder of a Woman Renews Outrage in India

On May 9th, a woman was brutally gang-raped and murdered, wherein later her mutilated body was found in an empty plot in Haryana's Rohtak. Police said the victim, aged 23, was bundled into a auto near her home in the northern city of Sonipat and driven for an hour to Rohtak , where she was raped.

Judge refers theft allegations against Uber to US Attorney

The news comes less than a month after Andrew Levandowski, the Uber engineer and former Google employee at the heart of Waymo's suit, stepped down from his position as the head of the company's self-driving technology division. Levandowski recently stepped aside as the head of Uber's self-driving auto program, though he remains with the company. On Thursday, Alsup said Levandowski's stonewalling has "obstructed" the case.
