Claude Puel says the fitness of Harry Maguire and Jamie Vardy will be assessed before a decision is made on Leicester City's squad to face Manchester United.

Speaking in a press conference on Thursday ahead of his side's Premier League curtain-raiser against United, live on Sky Sports Premier League, Puel addressed the issue by teasing journalists about a potential transfer.

"It's a good feeling, it was the first time last season I came to a club in the middle of the season without preparation or pre-season friendly games to prepare something", he added.

According to Manchester Evening News, Claude said: "I'm confident he's going to Manchester United, but only for a couple of hours with us".

"Harry is happy to remain with us". Of course I am happy about his performance and the performance of the other players. But it is looking good this season.

"We lost Riyad (Mahrez) he was a valuable player for us but was important to keep all our best players and have good additions for the squad".

But as far as Leicester are concerned, Maguire is not for sale.

"For us it is not possible".

Ben Chilwell has insisted that Leicester City teammate Harry Maguire will not be leaving the King Power Stadium in the January transfer window.

However, Iheanacho is expected to play a role when Leicester face United at Old Trafford tonight, and the Nigeria worldwide has suggested that he is feeling sharp ahead of the new campaign.

The Foxes are on the verge of signing Dinamo Zagreb defender Filip Benkovic, who is arrived in England yesterday to complete the formalities of the transfer.

"It's disappointing for the players because they gave their best", said Puel.

That makes it seven summer signings at Leicester - following Ricardo Pereira, Jonny Evans, James Maddison, Danny Ward and Rachid Ghezzal. And I am happy with his attitude.
