"I am also looking forward to experiencing the Parc des Princes, a legendary European football stadium with a fantastic atmosphere".

Before Dortmund, Tuchel was in charge of Mainz for five years.

Neymar will not leave PSG this summer, according to the club's former boss Unai Emery.

Emery has nevertheless just overseen a clean sweep of the domestic honours in France this season, after winning the French Cup, League Cup and season-opening Champions Trophy in his first campaign.

"Thomas is one of the best and most competitive European coaches to have emerged over the last few seasons", PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi said.

Tuchel will begin his tenure with the capital club after the World Cup in late July, when pre-season preparations begins for the 2018-19 season. "He has the mix of spectacular and effective principles that have always been the true strength of German football".
