And captain Lee Wallace is also fighting for his Ibrox future after a heated exchange of words following the 4-0 thrashing for Celtic in the Scottish Cup semi-final on Sunday.

Tensions were high as kick-off approached and Miller was left out of the starting eleven.

After the game it emerged that Greg Docherty and Alfredo Morelos were involved in a tunnel bust-up but there appears to have been a more serious incident in the dressing room.

The 38-year-old's contract expires in the summer and it will not be renewed.

Sky Sports say both players are likely to be suspended for the rest of the season - which would end Miller's stay with the club.

The Rangers board believe the duo have shown major disrespect towards the manager, Murty, and should be punished accordingly.

It's even added that defender Lee Wallace will be suspended, and neither man will play for Rangers again following an investigation into their criticism of manager Murty following Sunday's defeat.

Miller was an unused substitute for the game while Wallace has been sidelined with an injury since early in the season.

What's your view on how Rangers are dealing with Miller and Wallace?
