The team signed Giorgio Tavecchio off practice squad to kick. So, there's a chance that Janikowski could miss the entire season and may have made his last kick as a Raider since he's a free agent at season's end.

Oakland had to go with Tavecchio in the season opener after placing longtime kicker Sebastian Janikowski on the injured reserve with a herniated disc.

Janikowski has been in the news recently due to a contract dispute with the Raiders. The only player on the active roster who was with the team before Davis died in October 2011 is long snapper Jon Condo.

Janikowski is the franchise's career leader in games played with 268 and points with 1,799. He's 9-for-11 on field goals in the preseason.

At this point, there is no clear timetable for when Janikowski will return, which means that we could be seeing more of Tavecchio shortly.

Despite bouncing around training camps the last few seasons, Tavecchio has yet to appear in an National Football League game. He has never attempted a field goal in a regular season game.
