PUBG Release Timings Revealed, Cosmetic Items Already Available to Buy
Dec 08 2017
PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds is obviously the most popular choice in the gaming world right now, so it makes sense that it's getting not one, but two mobile games in China.
The first of these packs, the PUBG Warrior Pack, will arrive on December 7th, 2017 for $9.99 and features four items: a balaclava hat, camo t-shirt, pants, and tennis shoes.
Known as Miramar, the new arena is a far cry from PUBG's current map, the lush Erangel.
This is one of three Xbox-exclusive limited edition cosmetic packs coming during PUBG's console launch-window. Then The PUBG Accessory Pack is available on December 14, which is two days after the game's preview launch. In the announcement blog post, the developer said that "The unique terrain and dense urban areas of Miramar will create a new Battle Royale experience where the old strategies may no longer work and new tactics are required". For instance, Los Leones is a City Center and high vantage points ideal for sniping. The screenshot below shows the Aquarail off the coast of the desert landscape of Miramar, offering up yet another look at the PUBG desert map we're so tantalizingly close to checking out for ourselves in PUBG 1.0's third wave of testing.
You can see screenshots of various key map points in the gallery below. Monte Nuevo is described as a "well stocked compound" with ample cover for shootouts.
Mere mortals will go to conquer Miramar at the last stage of testing, Battlegrounds before it is updated to version 1.0 and leave the "Early access". Good news for fans who seem to be terribly burned out on the notion of loot boxes. "There is a new team dedicated to this task, which has already demonstrated great results through tighter and improved policies as well as around the clock monitoring".
