According to the paper, Trump's personal lawyer, Michael Cohen, arranged for Stephanie Clifford, a.k.a.

Clifford, 38, was an adult film star who also appeared in the 2005 hit movie The 40-Year-Old Virgin.

The Wall Street Journal also reports that Clifford, who briefly considered a political career of her own, has privately discussed the alleged 2006 encounter with Trump.

The future president was already married to his third wife, Melania Trump, the current first lady of the United States, at the time of the reported rendezvous.

A White House official said in a statement: "These are old, recycled reports, which were published and strongly denied prior to the election". Cohen also provided a statement to Buzzfeed that he said was signed by Stormy Daniels, denying reports of a sexual encounter with Trump. The decision was made after a reported outing, funded by the Republican National Committee, to a Los Angeles lesbian bondage-themed club called Voyeur-which is now closed.

The payment, the Journal reports, was made through Clifford's attorney, Keith Davidson. If I indeed did have a relationship with Donald Trump, trust me, you wouldn't be reading about it in the news, you would be reading about it in my book. "Rumors that I have received hush money from Donald Trump are completely false". Trump has repeatedly denied the women's stories, and the White House has said all of the president's accusers are lying.

In response to the Journal's story, Cohen denied the main allegations regarding an affair and hush money, though he did not address the existence of a $130,000 transaction involving Clifford.

An attorney whom the WSJ said had represented Ms Clifford declined to comment, citing attorney-client privilege.

"I love Trump. I think he's great", Weimer said. "Ms. Clifford cut off contact with the network without telling her story". The statement, to repeat, was emailed by Cohen.

The most notable came when The Washington Post released a video of Trump's lewd comments to Billy Bush, claiming he was so famous he could literally "grab" women "by the pu**y".

Her then-husband, Michael Mosny, told Tampa police that she hit him several times and was upset "about the way the clothes had been done" and then "got more upset about some bills that had not been paid".
