The BJP national president, who took a day's off from the Karnataka assembly campaign, is understood to have taken a look at the names of probable party candidates for the legislative council polls.

Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal, who sprung up to political spotlight following his close association with Hazare's movement, has fasted on a number of issues including a two-week fast in 2013 over inflated price of electricity and water bills. "They should have ideally not commented until an investigation was conducted". However, he was aware of the Unnao rape case and he went on to congratulate the government for conducting arrests in the matter.

"The BJP passed a resolution on April 1 condemning the incident of rape".

BJP ministers Choudhary Lal Singh and Chader Prakash Ganga on Friday submitted their resignations to the party. But the Congress kept on harping that the government does not want to debate, Shah said in a blog released by the BJP. The party also removed two leaders accused of leading rioters during the 1984 anti-Sikh riots, Jagdish Tytler and Sajjan Kumar, from the state at the protest site before Rahul Gandhi's arrival.

BJP leaders across the country led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi began their day-long fast this morning in protest against the washout of Parliament proceedings during both legs of the Budget Session.

After facing strident criticism from the opposition on Dalit issues, the BJP is also grappling with a rising voice of discontent among its own MPs belonging to the Scheduled Castes in Uttar Pradesh.

Earlier, opposition parties including NC have demanded their resignations for supporting killers of Kathua Rape case victim.

"An SIT (Special Investigation Team) was formed and six-seven persons were arrested". The party leader said the Lok Sabha bypoll debacle of Gorakhpur and Phulpur also figured in the meeting.

"On one hand, Salathiaji is demanding justice, while on the other hand, he has called to shut down the high court". She said the woman had not named party MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar in her initial complaint before the magistrate. "This proves what kind of dirty politics is being played in Jammu and Kashmir". The state government has taken action against the erring doctors and they have been suspended. Police personnel were also deployed throughout the day on the road from Gandhinagar to Ahmedabad in anticipation of Rupani's arrival.
