PlayStation®VR The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim® VR Bundle
Nov 14 2017
The Elder Scrolls V Skyrim VR launches on PlayStation VR in just a few days, and many are anticipating being able to enjoy the popular RPG again in a brand new way. "With this Skyrim PS VR campaign, the gamer is the hero transported to a new world facing extraordinary odds to achieve their greatness".
In case you haven't already played "Skyrim", or are unfamiliar with the storyline, "Skyrim" follows Dragonborn, who you play as, throughout the game. Given that it's sure to be a headset-selling title, Sony has announced it'll be releasing a PSVR and Skyrim VR bundle.
"Skyrim" is set approximately 200 years after the events of "The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion", but it's not a sequel to the game.
Dragons have been long lost to the passages of the Elder Scrolls, but now they have returned to Tamriel, and the future of the Empire hangs in the balance.
Until now, the majority of VR games have been rather short in terms of length but Skyrim VR is the full open-world Skyrim adventure you'll find on any other platform. You can take a look at the packaging below.
The Skyrim PSVR bundle launches in the United States and Canada on the same day as the game's launch, November 17th, for $449.99 USD/$579.99 CAD. To heighten your experience, each controller also enables you to customize your movement with both free movement and teleportation options. The bundle also comes with Skyrim add ons - Dawnguard, Dragonborn and Hearthfire, as per PS Blog.
These include an integrated stereo headset and an HDR-passthrough unit which will allow users to watch HDR-compatible content via their PS4 on TV without having to disconnect the external Processor Unit between the PS4 and TV. New player eager to jump in?
