OnePlus 6T Goes Official With a Slightly Larger 6.41-inch Full HD+ Display and Android 9 Pie

In a surprise turn of events, the company confirmed its new OnePlus 6T will arrive faster than any phone they've ever released.

Although T-Mobile's product page doesn't specify the required condition for the trade-in, a company rep told me it must be "in good working condition - no cracked screen, no liquid damage".

The panel represents a slight increase in size from the OnePlus 6 that came with a 6.28-inch display. There's now a slimmed-down teardrop notch at the top of the display that houses the handsets' 16MP front-facing camera, giving the handset an 86 per cent screen-to-body ratio. It is to be known that Apple Inc. will be launching the next set of gadgets on October 30, due to which OnePlus 6T's launch was pre-poned to October 29.

The OnePlus 6T and OnePlus 6 have almost identical glass backs, but the new model is devoid of the classic 3.5mm jack.

Interestingly enough, each of these wallpapers that are available down below has a live version, though live versions of these wallpapers are exclusive to the OnePlus 6T, at least for now.

The OnePlus 6T starts at Rs. 37,999 for the 6GB RAM and 128GB Storage version while the 8GB RAM and 128GB version costs Rs. 41,999 and the top end 8GB RAM and 256GB storage version costs Rs. 45,999. Apart from this hiccup, OnePlus offers the industry's top-of-the-line specs similar to the OnePlus 6 with the new OnePlus 6T. However, the company claims the new 6T can take better portraits and selfies and also comes up with Nightscape, exceptional HDR and super slow motion modes, which are acclaimed to improve the camera performance from the OnePlus 6. But, those who own the OnePlus 6 can test out the Nightscape mode very soon as it will be introduced to the device next week. So the comparable models are priced the same whether you choose a OnePlus 6 or 6T. It is interesting to note that in the box, there is a "Type-C to 3.5 mm Headphone Jack Adapter".

It ships running OnePlus's OxygenOS running atop Android 9 Pie. OnePlus touts that it's UI includes Full Screen Gestures 2.0 to help you more quickly move through the operating system. "You've got to make decisions that optimize the user experience, and understand that at times things that provide user value can also add friction". The company seems to keep up their tradition of launching two flagships in a year as it revealed the 6T during an event that took place in NY. Not to mention, 6T also supports fast charging tech as well.

Apart from that, OnePlus also confirmed that they will be partnering with T-Mobile in the United States to make the 6T available to the customers.

The OnePlus 6T starts at £499 for 128GB of storage with 6GB of RAM and tops out at £579 with 256GB of storage and 8GB of RAM.

In several hours from now at 8.30PM, OnePlus will formally launch the OnePlus 6T in India.
