Police officers responded after being notified of an assault outside XS NYC, a hookah lounge in South Ozone Park, Queens, about 4:30 a.m.

The other people hit and the two people stabbed were in stable condition.

A knife fight broke out at a hookah bar in Queens ahead of the attack, the New York Daily News reported citing police and a witness. The vehicle came "from nowhere and hit the whole group" on the sidewalk, the witness told the local media, adding that "the auto was going really fast" and he saw "bodies flying". "The bodies went flying".

One person was killed, two were critically injured and one suffered minor injuries.

Six people were struck by the auto, including the person who was killed.

Police still were sorting out the details, but authorities say there was a dispute before the man drove into the people.

Two of the crash victims were rushed to Jamaica Hospital in critical condition, cops said.
