Nicole Kidman Reveals She Was Once Engaged to Lenny Kravitz


In the new issue of Net-a-Porter's The Edit, Nicole Kidman dropped a bombshell about her relationship with Lenny Kravitz.

She broke the news in an interview with The Edit, published this week, while speaking about working with Kravitz's daughter, Zoe in the television adaptation of Australian author Liane Moriarty's book, Big Little Lies.

"Well, I knew Zoë (Kravitz) because I was engaged to her father".

She added: "I love Lenny; he's a great guy".

She has previously hinted towards plans to tie the knot with an unspecified ex-partner in between her divorce from Tom Cruise and her marriage to Keith Urban.

"It just wasn't right", she said in 2007, though never revealed who the suitor was. "I wasn't ready. We weren't ready", she told the publication.

"I get engaged and I get married - that's my thing", she continued. "After every take I wanted to just stop and say, 'Wow'".

Although their relationship didn't work out, Kidman has now been married for ten years to her husband, Keith Urban. "When you see them in the show they're flashes, but we needed to re-shoot them and re-shoot them so [director Jean-Marc Vallée] could get grabs of stuff", she recalls.

A report from People explains that Nic and Lenny met when she rented his Manhattan apartment in the summer of 2003. [T] he couple split in December 2003 after spending Thanksgiving together at his Miami home. The two were reportedly "always touching each other", according to a witness at a party Kidman and Kravitz attended before going public.
