The augmented reality game, in which players walk around real-life neighborhoods to hunt and catch virtual cartoon characters on their smartphone screens, has been blamed in the United States for several robberies of distracted mobile phone users and auto crashes.

Shares surpassed a near-35% rise in August 1989 when the Japanese company launched Dragon Quest, a fantasy role-playing game, in the US.

Game developers around the world watched in astonishment as the mobile version of the 1990s game became an instant hit following its launch last Thursday, adding almost $10 billion to the company's market value.

On a steady increase in users since its release, Pokemon GO is a path to possibly overtake popular apps like Snapchat and Maps on Apple devices. Do beware of fake or compromised installers though. iOS users have the option of switching to a USA account and downloading the app that way.

Regarding China, he said it is technically possible to launch the game there, but noted that there are regulations that have to be considered.

Other government ministries did not respond to faxed questions about the game.

Pokemon Go is now a global game, as the Pokemon Go App is also released in Asia.

"I really looked forward to playing the Pokemon artificial reality game since they first announced it. I really liked Pokemon as a kid", said Gan Tian, a 22-year-old student at Tsinghua University.

Pokemon Go is the virtual reality game of the season which is making everyone roman the streets like never before. However, that does not mean it can not be played in other countries. Not only is the game not on Chinese app stores, but Google services are blocked in China.

For some weird reason, Pokemon Go is not officially released in Canada yet.

"Why limit it?" John Hanke, chief executive of Niantic, which developed Pokemon Go jointly with Nintendo affiliate Pokemon Company, told Reuters in an interview today.
