New Total War Warhammer 2 Trailer Shows Elves, Lizardmen, Skaven Hint

Total War Warhammer II announced

Creative Assembly and Games Workshop have announced Total War: Warhammer 2, a sequel to the hugely popular RTS title from 2016. The sequel to last year's real-time strategy title looks set to dial the action up to dizzying new heights with a "breathtaking new narrative campaign" that takes place across the continents of Lustria, Ulthuan, Naggaroth and the Southlands. Listed on Steam as due later in 2017, the sequel will introduce a whole new continent and four new races: High Elves, Dark Elves, Lizardmen and (though not yet directly named, it's pretty clear) Skaven. Each of the four races will be competing to either save or destroy the Great Vortex over Ulthuan, and players will have to rush to accomplish victory.

Shortly after the launch of Total War: Warhammer II, holders of both chapters will have access to a new colossal combined campaign, joining new locations to those of the Old World. Humans had been a part of Total War: Warhammer since launch, but interaction was in a limited capacity.

Creative Assembly is back with another game in its trademark Total War series. "Territorial conquest is no longer enough... this is a race for control that will define the fate of the world".

"As a piece of creative work, Total War: Warhammer is more than an ideal partnership between two iconic franchises". It follows up on the hit real-time strategy game from past year and is the second title in the planned trilogy. The huge map will combine elements of old and new regions. Players will be able to embark on campaigns as any owned, playable race from both games. However, it's not a real-world historical setting. Alongside the core historical-based games, the Total War series has expanded to include free-to-play mobile ( Total War Battles™: KINGDOM) and PC titles (Total War™: ARENA), now in development.
