Dhoni is being criticised for his lethargic knock against England

Dhoni has been facing a lot of criticism for his batting approach in the ongoing World Cup.

MS Dhoni's manager Arun Pandey said, "It's a fact that he has been using different bats with different brandings, but he is not charging them".

Speculation on MS Dhoni's retirement began to grow after media reports suggested that the former India captain and legendary wicketkeeper will quit after India's last match in the 2019 Cricket World Cup. "But since his decisions to quit captaincy from the three formats have been taken so suddenly, it is very hard to predict at the moment", a senior BCCI official told PTI.

"While Dhoni found little support when it came to sporting the "Balidaan Badge" from the board, an official was more than happy to predict the future when we must focus on the present".

When the new selection committee takes over from the incumbents, the possible replacements for the shorter formats will be identified with reasonable time left for the World T20s.

Dhoni has scored 223 runs in seven games at a decent strike rate of 93 plus if one goes by the scorecards but what they don't reflect is his inability to rotate the strike and strike big.

The 33-ball 35 from Dhoni at the death during India's match against Bangladesh was yet again criticized as the team managed to score only 63 runs in the last 10 overs. "I felt it was an important inning and he (Dhoni) did exactly what was right for the team".

Speaking to IANS, sources in the team management confirmed that getting hit on the fingers while keeping isn't something new for Dhoni and these things don't even affect him anymore. If he stays till the 50th over, he can help other guys around him.

On the work front, MS Dhoni, has registered a decent performance at the World Cup 2019 but his approach has been constantly criticised by fans and ex-cricketers. They are now in second spot on the points table.
