No one else was hurt.

Ambulances as well as armed police were seen at the school, local media sn.dk reports.

Three students were wounded.

Director school education Kashmir Dr. G.N. Itoo directed all the Headmasters and Head Teachers to compulsorily take classes alongside another teaching faculty of the Institution and not to attend the offices during the school hours, a senior official of the education department told GNS. She said around 1:15 p.m. Monday, a male student was punching several windows and a glass panel to the school's main entrance door when he began to bleed profusely. He also directed all the Headmasters to take classes themselves in the schools. Mental health professionals are available on site at Pleasantview Elementary. He says the boy cooperated with investigators.

"Hopefully, he will receive some treatment", Beise said. Beise said the boy was interviewed by police and released to his parents. The case will be forwarded to prosecutors, KARE said.

One of the injured children is a seventh-grader who was waiting to catch a transfer bus. "We're not sure exactly why he came to school with a knife", Chief Perry Beise said.

The event comes two months after Nikolas Cruz, a 19-year-old former student at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, opened fire in a hallway in the Parkland, Florida, school, killing 17 students and staff members.

Sauk Rapids is about 115km northwest of Minneapolis. The 8-year-old Minnesota elementary school student, who was not named, was talking to three of his classmate, ages 13,9, and 8 when he became verbally aggressive. Lanza killed himself as police arrived at the school.
