Mike Zimmer has great quote about Aaron Rodgers' Week 2 status

2018 NFL Power Rankings: Mahomes impresses, Rodgers plays magician

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers said he suffered a "sprained knee" during Sunday's victory over the Chicago Bears.

He made his National Football League debut for eight snaps in Week 1 against the Green Bay Packers, and he wants more on Monday against the Seattle Seahawks.

Vikings safety Harrison Smith, fresh off an NFC North Player of the Week award, knows just how hard it is going up against Rodgers.

As far as Mike Zimmer is concerned, there is no way Rodgers is missing Sunday's divisional matchup.

Vikings coach Mike Zimmer is pretty certain his team will be facing Rodgers. "We'll take it day by day and learn as we go".

Wearing a brace could be an option, depending on how the quarterback feels later in the week.

"Obviously there's the hope of playing", McCarthy said, via the team's website.

Rodgers said he was feeling progressively better over the last couple days, though still sore. Will the Packers risk putting Rodgers out there for the whole game knowing he could get hurt? Instead he worked with players rehabbing, which also included receiver Davante Adams.

Rodgers has played before with an injured left knee.

If the soreness keeps Rodgers out of practice for the rest of the week, that doesn't necessarily mean he won't play against the Vikings. "To be in this room, you've got to be mentally and physical tough".
