France's far-right presidential candidate Marine Le Pen has been spotted visiting Trump Tower in NY.
The Daily Mail reports that Le Pen was seen having coffee with Guido "George" Lombardi, Trump's neighbor who is known as his "European fixer".
However, Trump transition spokesman Sean Spicer said Le Pen will not meet with Mr. Trump or with anyone from his staff, noting that that Trump Tower is a public building and saying he did not know whether Le Pen was still on the premises.
Donald Trump had no plans to meet with Le Pen, according to an aide to the president-elect, who asked not to be identified without authorization to speak publicly.
Le Pen, who polls show could make it to the final round of the French presidential election in May, broke off from a busy campaign schedule to fly unannounced to NY for what her party said was a "private visit".
Ms Le Penn now holds a narrow lead in opinion polls ahead of the first round of voting in France's presidential election, which takes place in April.
Couple: Marine Le Pen was sitting opposite Louis Aliot, her long-term partner.
However, a Trump aide told CNN that Le Pen was not meeting with Trump or any member of the president-elect's transition team.
'It's not on her public agenda, ' he reportedly texted a Bloomberg reporter when asked if Le Pen was meeting Trump.
Le Pen waived off questions from reporters camped out inside the lobby to observe who is coming and going. "We don't communicate about private visits". Today, LePen showed up at Trump Tower.
On Thursday afternoon she was caught by an eagle-eyed snapper in the famous Trump Tower, the headquarters of the US-president elect's empire.
And perhaps her wish has come true.
Le Pen has always been a vocal supporter of Trump, calling him a "sign of hope", and stating that his victory had "made possible what had previously been presented as impossible".
