Manchester United pull out of the race for De Ligt?
May 27 2019
Manchester United fans initially didn't believe reports that claimed they had a chance at De Ligt's signature but that has since change.
De Ligt, who started against United in the Europa League final two years ago, has always been tracked by the Manchester giants, but the feeling around the club is he will be heading to the Nou Camp.
But ahead of his Nations League preparations with Holland, De Ligt has spoken on his future, noting that he isn't ruling any team out.
"Obviously the Premier League is a big competition, in Spain also", he told ESPN, revealing his doubts.
The Dutchman has shot to prominence as the most highly-rated young centre back in Europe this season after leading the Amsterdam-based side to the Champions League semi-finals, turning in some commanding defensive displays and scoring key goals along the way.
"I still don't know anything about where my future is".
Should De Ligt set his sights on a transfer to Catalonia, he will be linking up with his fellow Ajax star Frenkie de Jong, whose summer move to Barca was confirmed in January.
"First we have to play two games and then after that I will see what happens next".
"Every year new players come in".
'He's the type of player that a manager I think wants to work with'.
As far as the figures of the proposal are concerned, Mirror Sport reported that the PL giants have launched a huge bid of £70million and has offered the youngster a deal that would make him earn £350,000-a-week.
