Manchester City have completed the signing of fullback Joao Cancelo from Juventus with the Serie A champions receiving a transfer fee and Danilo as part of the deal.

City were keen to recoup the £26.5m they paid Real Madrid for Danilo two years ago.

Cancelo's arrival marks City's fourth signing of the summer, following the additions of Rodri, Angelino and Zack Steffen to manager Pep Guardiola's squad.

"I love his style of play, his character, he's very detail orientated".

The 25-year-old defender signed a deal with Manchester City until June 2025, the English club announced late Wednesday.

"For me the Premier League is the best League in the world without any doubt, I'm looking forward to playing my first game here".

Danilo, operating in a variety of roles, played 38 times in all competitions, scoring three goals, as we won both the league and Carabao Cup.

"Joao is a fine player and an excellent attacking full-back who will provide us with a real threat on the right-hand side", said City director of football Txiki Begiristain.

"The Club have been fantastic with me from day one and I will always ben grateful".

"He fits the profile of player we want here at Manchester City".

Juventus signed Cancelo, the Portugal worldwide, from Valencia following a loan spell with Inter Milan.

"It's not by chance that Manchester City have won the last two Premier Leagues and Manchester City won all the domestic trophies in England last season".

"The Premier League title wins will stay with me forever and I will always have City in my heart".
