LSU defense prepares for Alabama QB Tua Tagovailoa

Mandel’s Top 10 In Week 9 as some found rest the others impressed

Who needs trash talking when two teams can just have a billboard battle leading up to their showdown?

By far the biggest game of Week 10 is in Baton Rouge, La., where LSU hosts Alabama Saturday night. Look at Florida and (Felipe) Franks, Mississippi State and (Nick) Fitzgerald.

Some Crimson Tide fans made a decision to put up billboards in Baton Rouge that encouraged people to donate to the Red Cross for hurricane relief. But because White was ejected in the second half, he has to sit out the first half of the next game, which is against Alabama since LSU was just on a bye.

It's hard to compete with that stellar performance, but LSU flexed their defensive muscles en route to a solid 19-3 win over No. 22 Mississippi State as 6½ point home chalk.

If LSU does beat Alabama and remains undefeated the rest of the way, and the Tide do the same, it would quite possibly result in both teams securing two of the four seeds in the tournament.

"Before Tua drops half a Benjamin in Death Valley, be sure to donate half a Benjamin to Hurricane Relief!" the billboard reads, including a link to the American Red Cross.

Are you a die-hard College Football fan? Still Orgeron has one thing at LSU that will presumably be beyond Taulia's reach at Alabama: Immediate playing time. It caused damage in excess of $8.1 billion. Last season, the Tide drew away to a 24-10 win over the Tigers in Tuscaloosa but did not cover the 21-point impost that the oddsmakers were dealing.

The goal of the campaign is to raise $5,000, and at the time of this post Tuesday afternoon, it was at $2,800.

Kickoff for the game between Alabama and LSU is scheduled for 8 p.m. ET on Saturday.
