Johnson went down after he was hit by three players on the reception. The guy is an incredible back and a fantasy monster.

However, the latest news is positive for the Cardinals and anxious fantasy owners, with Johnson potentially back for Sunday's game against the Indianapolis Colts.

According to NFL.com's Ian Rapoport, the current expectation is that Johnson will miss an extended period of time and quite possibly be placed on injured reserve. Start combing practice squads?

Arians said the injury occurred on a play near the goal line in the third quarter.

The Cardinals will know the full extent of Johnson's injury in 24 hours.

While he didn't give a timetable for Johnson, Arians said Logan is expected to be out eight to 12 weeks. It's an opportunity for somebody to step up.

With Johnson out, it will be on Arizona's other backs to make up for the loss of Johnson, and Arians said re-signing Chris Johnson, who was among the team's final cuts, is also a possibility.

The news on David Johnson certainly isn't good. "And we'll see what's out there", Arians said. Johnson dazzled for last year's Cardinals team, emerging as a full-time starter.

Johnson had 11 carries for 23 yards and six catches for 68 yards in the season opener.
