They face Tottenham in the Champions League final on June 1 after overturning a three-goal deficit against Barcelona.

The three are Gabon and Arsenal's Pierre Emerick Aubameyang and the Liverpool duo of Sadio Mane (Senegal) and Mohamed Salah (Egypt). This means if things hold Aubameyang, Salah and Mane will both share the Golden Boot.

Salah started the day as the league's top scorer, but it was team-mate Mane who scored both of the Reds' goals in a 2-0 victory against Wolves to catch his team-mate.

When Salah was handed his award, it was his daughter who stole the show.

But Salah was still able to enjoy his Golden Boot, posting an image with the prize and his daughter on Twitter with the words: "Yes, I know we have one at home".

"I say congratulations to Manchester City and we will fight again next season for this trophy", he added.

Guardiola claimed this week that Bernardo Silva would get into any team in the world while Sterling has enjoyed the best season of his career, winning the PFA Young Player of the Year and Football Writer's Association Player of the Year.

He hasn't quite reached the level of last season's extraordinary personal achievements when his 32 league goals and 44 in all competitions broke all manner of records.

Aubameyang had a late chance in extra time to become the outright victor, but the ball sailed over the goal.

"Auba too?" said the German, on learning that Aubameyang, his former signing at Borussia Dortmund, shared the accolade.
