Latest Injury Update For LeBron James

Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James, left, shakes hands with coach Luke Walton as they have a chat during the first half of an NBA basketball game against the Los Angeles Clippers on Friday, Dec. 28, 2018, in Los Angeles.

Of course, LaVar has no problem telling anyone who will listen that he could go toe-to-toe with Michael Jordan.

The ballyhooed Los Angeles Lakers young core was touted as one of the reasons LeBron James made a decision to sign with the team, but the group has struggled in the five games he and Rajon Rondo have missed thus far due to their respective injuries.

James is averaging 27.3 points, 8.3 rebounds, and 7.1 assists in 34 games with the Lakers. It isn't fun seeing the team struggle, but in the long run, James needs to be 100 percent healthy before the Lakers should put him back out on the floor.

It's important that James makes a full recovery from this groin injury, yet his extended absence could push the Lakers out of the playoff picture for the time being. Shooting guard Tim Hardaway Jr topscored for the Knicks with 22 points and 6 rebounds while Enes Kanter did damage on the inside, finishing the game with 16 points, 15 rebounds and 3 blocks. He isn't the only Laker dealing with an injury.

The Lakers front office issued a press release on Friday saying that LeBron is still receiving daily treatment and will be re-evaluated in a week.

"Next man up. Kuz is a big part of this team". "He's a great defensive player, obviously". The LeBron-less Lakers will clearly be looking to bounce back against the Wolves.
