As the premier profesisonal 3-on-3 league in the world, we are always striving to improve the quality of both the live and broadcast experience for our fans as well as the level of competition.

Per those with knowledge of the situation, Odom, Jermaine O'Neal, Bonzi Wells and Baron Davis were all deactivated for competitive reasons and not due to any off-the-court issues. Davis announced that he would no longer be participating in the BIG3 in a tweet following the league's announcement. The 39-year-old last played in the National Basketball Association for the LA Clippers during the 2012-13 season.

The ex-husband of Khloe Kardashian is less than four years removed from falling into a coma after a drug overdose at a Nevada brothel, and the extensive road to recovery he faced battling for his health in the aftermath.

The BIG3 basketball league surprised many with a news announcement on Wednesday saying that numerous player and staff changes were being made, including the deactivation of several big-name players.

Unlike the other three players who were deactivated, Odom was the only one who had actually played in a game this season.

According to the media release, the changes "are being implemented to maximize competition, protect the health of players, and to raise the level of professionalism of the BIG3".

Odom was planning on his comeback through the Big3 and was named the co-captain of The Enemies squad.

Joe Johnson, a seven-time NBA All-Star, has been a force this season, leading the league in scoring.
