The New York Knicks were left red faced after they used a picture of Kevin Durant in a campaign to promote season tickets, which had to be taken down. "To be clear, it was one of several rotating photos on the website".

Durant has won two consecutive National Basketball Association titles since joining the Warriors as a free agent before the 2016-17 season. After the Knicks' trade of Kristaps Porzingis cleared enough salary cap space to potentially sign two maximum-level free agents in July, rumors abounded that the team was already confident of landing Durant.

The Knicks are expected to pursue the 30-year-old Warriors star if he becomes a free agent this summer. They got nothing to do with me. The deadline for season-ticket renewals is later this month, and the Knicks (10-45) have tied a single-season franchise record with 16 consecutive losses. The association caused a stir when a Knicks season-ticket holder pointed out the photo in a social media post.

After shocking the National Basketball Association world and trading away star player Kristaps Porzingis, the New York Knicks are trying once again to put all of their eggs in one basket and hope to sign a max player or two to turn the franchise around. The players were Dwight Howard and Chris Paul.

Upon realizing Durant was in the photo, the team took it down as a precaution, they said in a statement - even though it was one of many used on its website.
