'Kingdom Hearts 3' leaked, but its biggest spoilers are still safe
Dec 17 2018
The person in question apparently stole around 30 copies of Kingdom Hearts III from a shipping warehouse, then tried to sell them on Facebook for around $100 each.
Kingdom Hearts 3 leaked yesterday, and the game's director Tetsuya Nomura has released a statement asking fans not to circulate gameplay videos.
The game's epilogue and secret movie, which are the biggest spoilers in this game, are planned to be released at a later date just in case, so they will not be shown before the game's release.
He asks that fans "do not share these videos" so that players can "equally experience the full game after its release". He also stated that Square Enix knows "how this has all happened", though he didn't share any specifics. I go to great lengths to avoid spoilers about movies and games, and it now looks like I'll have to use all the tricks of the trade to stop critical story info from Kingdom Hearts III from reaching my eyes and ears. We're sorry to see this caused concern amongst our fans who are excited for the release.
Sony has announced that it will be releasing a limited edition PlayStation 4 Pro bundle featuring a copy of Square Enix's upcoming Disney-RPG, Kingdom Hearts 3. Nomura thanked those who have been warning each other about the spoilers and encouraged everyone to enjoy the game together when it releases on January 29th.
Regarding the leak, Nomura said he and the team are aware of a "small portion" of the game emerging online ahead of time.
