She explained how Nick promised that if she finished high school he would let her record in his studio and set her up in an apartment.

Before Kehlani accepted her "Rule Breaker" award at Billboard's Women in Music 2017, she was warmly introduced by Nick Cannon and a video in which G-Eazy said, "She'll break every rule and change the world because of it".

As Clarkson chatted with Extra's Renee Bargh, Bargh noted how happy Clarkson seemed when the 35-year-old singer surprisingly added, "Other than we got robbed last night".

"We have a jam on her album, it's so good." she said on the pink carpet. "Even in that scenario we weren't in the house, which is a blessing".

Other stars who were honoured at the Women In Music Awards included Selena Gomez, who was named Woman of the Year by Billboard.

'When people look up to me, I want them to see my life and have it reflect theirs and understand that if I can make it through everything that I've made it through and still making it through, you can do it as well, ' Mary continued saying. 'Accept the fact that there is room for everyone'. I was so excited to perform with her because I was such a huge fan of hers since the '90s. It's a really crucial time when you have children right now'.
