Jorginho reveals Sarri importance in Chelsea move

Sarri more interested in signing a winger than a striker like Higuain

Chelsea are set to give up on their hopes of bringing in striker Gonzalo Higuain during the January transfer window due to the complexities of the deal involving two clubs, according to reports.

Sarri's team remain in fourth place, but they are now just three points ahead of fifth-placed Arsenal in the race to qualify for next season's Champions League.

Chelsea confirmed on Wednesday that they had reached an agreement with Borussia Dortmund over a €64million transfer for the United States global. Now we have to improve in the last 20 metres.

Sarri added "I'm not in charge of the market. I think we need something else for our characteristics".

At present, Higuain is on a two-year loan deal with AC Milan and the Blues are apparently reluctant to discuss terms with two separate clubs in order to lure the marksman to the Premier League. I have to try to improve my players, my team, my offensive phase, or better my offensive phase in the last 20 metres. "The club asked my opinion about him one month ago and my opinion was positive and I knew the deal was done but I didn't know anything".

Looking more vibrant back in his favoured role, Hazard made a fine run that opened up the Southampton defence, yet his fierce drive was well saved by Gunn, making his Premier League debut after his close-season move from Manchester City.

Meanwhile, earlier reported that Premier League giants Chelsea have completed the signing of 20-year-old American football star Christian Pulisic from Borussia Dortmund for £58 million.
