Rory Feek describes this time as wife Joey Feek's

As Joey Feek's loved ones try to deal with the reality that her days on Earth may be few, Rory is content with the fact that his wife led a full and happy life. After their tearful conversation, she asked Rory to bring in IN, their 2-year-old daughter.

Joey + Rory were nominated for a Grammy this year for Best Country Duo/Group Performance with "If I Needed You", along with an Academy of Country Music Awards nomination for Vocal Duo of the Year (which is pending). "I just wanted to take a chance to say thank you for loving me, and I'll be loving you".

There's also a video of the family watching Joey getting a taped surprise from Dolly Parton.

The passing news was announced by Joey's husband Rory Feek through a blog titled "A Dream Come True". "And a moment later took her first breath on the other side", he continued. "It was the most attractive moment I have ever been part of..."

The 40-year-old country star then gathered her family and said goodbye to her mother, father, and three sisters.

"My wife's greatest dream came true today. She is in Heaven", Feek wrote. Though the singer underwent multiple surgeries (including a radical hysterectomy) and received both chemotherapy and radiation while fighting the disease, an October 2015 CT scan sadly revealed Joey's cancer had aggressively spread throughout her body.

Joey Feek had been an entertainer since age 6, when she sang a Dolly Parton song in a school talent show.

"After four-and-a-half months in iN, we will soon be back home in Tennessee", he wrote. Before her death, Feek said God had decided for her that "my job of singing for people down here is my legacy, and he needs me singing up there".

The moving tribute video shoes Joey throughout her life, and Rory admitted that he cried while putting it together. "Everywhere", he concluded. "So if it's okay, I'm gonna close, wipe my tears and pack our bags to hit the road headed south. She's already got a head-start on me".
