Man Utd news Jose Mourinho wants Paulo Dybala in January

Jose Mourinho has a troubled relationship with the club's record signing, resulting in a series of bust-ups.

Mourinho really, really wanted a central defender before the window slammed shut with a bunch of names linked with a transfer to Old Trafford.

"I did not want just to get away from Bayern, but I was thrilled to try a new challenge".

Meanwhile, NAIJ.com had earlier reported that Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho is reportedly ready to sell Paul Pogba against the wish of the club's owners.

Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba was told by his agent Mino Raiola he would secure a big move to Spain after three years at Old Trafford, Mirror quoting Manchester Evening News.

He returned to United for a second spell in June 2016 but it has not run smoothly and with Barcelona and Juventus keen on the World Cup victor, Neville feels United can live without him. I feel well at Bayern.

Manager Jose Mourinho was desperate to sign a new centre-back in summer and the situation grew more desperate as the deadline loomed.

"I phoned Jose Mourinho and told him that his interest honoured me and thanked him [for trying so hard to try and bring me to United]. Everything has to fall in place to top this club, if I do it. Niko Kovac gave me the feeling that I am very important for him and the club".

Boateng has now admitted he did have the chance to join United, but added that he told Mourinho he would not leave Bayern unless he was 100% certain it was the right move.

The experienced defender has won 6 Bundesliga titles, 4 domestic cups and the Champions League during his time at the Allianz Arena while he also helped lead Germany to the 2014 World Cup.
