Apple is finally selling its long-awaited iPhone Xr clear case at Apple Stores worldwide, as well as online, after its original availability was scheduled for October.
"Thin, light, and easy to grip - this case lets you enjoy the look of iPhone XR while providing extra protection", reads the product description.
"Bloomberg notes that Apple on Sunday actually went so far as to denote a starting price of "$449*" for the iPhone XR on its website. The device features a 12-megapixel camera at the rear and a 7-megapixel front camera. In terms of video, the phone can record 4K video at 24/30/60 fps. The iPhone XR actually starts at $749. DxOMark noted that for the key photo attributes of exposure, color, detail, noise, and artifacts, iPhone XR offers an image quality that is quite similar to that of its flagship iPhone XS Max. The video stabilization system is also among the best that have been tested, ensuring smooth video playback with little shakes.
Notably, DxOMark is yet to declare its verdict on Google Pixel 3 and Google Pixel 3 XL, both of which feature a single lens camera at the back. If that's Apple's plan, then we could see this case announced and on shelves in a matter of days - after all, Apple will want to have this available in time for people to buy it as a gift.
